Since 2011, the world’s first solar-powered ski lift runs full-sustainable with a 60 kWp strong PV-plant installed on two support cables . In 2015, the 246 solar panels produced over 100’000 kWh, this is 19 times more energy than used. The 450-meter long ski lift transports 800 people per hour over a vertical height of 135 meters in the village of Tenna, canton Grisons.
